So, you’re looking for the best vapes for you. Well we’re here to help! Here at Salk Street we’ve got plenty to choose from, but we’re here to break down some of our personal favourites and why they might be right for you. We’re going to discuss our opinions on and favourite Pre Filled Pod Systems, Mod Kits, Disposable Vapes and Vape Kits. We’ll let you know the best vape for beginners, best ecig starter kits and overall best vapes to buy! (in our honest opinion)

First off, we’re going to discuss Pre Filled Pod Systems. Pre-filled pod Systems are pods, pre-filled with eJuice that you ‘snap’ into a battery, purchased separately. Pre-filled pod systems are great for those that prefer an ‘on the go’ easier style of vaping. Pods are typically available in a limited variety of nicotine levels, though they are a great choice for anyone who is new to vaping or wants a simple experience. There is no need to change the coil, refill the device with juice when it is running low. You would simply dispose of your pod (you can recycle your pods at our shop in Richmond Hill) and insert a new pod. We recommend the Allo Sync as our pod system of choice. The Allo Sync features USB charging with a more flavourful and airy hit compared to the STLTH. 

There are a ton of wonderful Mod Kits on the market, but we believe the best choice for most would be the Geekvape Aegis Legend Kit. The Aegis Legend Kit includes a wonderful tank, perfect for cloud chasers or those who want to experience the flavour of their eJuice to the fullest. The Aegis also includes a gorgeous dust, drop, and water resistant body. The device uses two 18650 batteries (sold separately) to deliver a strong, consistent hit, while providing you with enough power to last the entire day. You can also use your favourite 510 tank on the Aegis Legend to experience this wonderful mod with your favourite hit. The Aegis Legend was known to many as the best vape of 2021, and is my personal favourite mod to date.

Now we’re onto the discussion of Disposable Vapes. Disposable Vapes are a great vape for beginners or those looking if they can make the switch from smoking. Disposable Vapes include the juice, battery, and coil all in one unit and are meant to be disposed of after use. Unfortunately, Disposable Vapes are terrible for the environment as they are almost impossible to recycle. Though it is important to know the environmental impact of these devices, we recommend the Boosted Bar and Drip’n by Envi. The Boosted Bar uses a synthetic form of nicotine to deliver a stronger hit than the 20mg nicotine threshold that is the limit in Canada. Boosted Banana Ice is my personal favourite, a delicious icy-cold banana with a smooth, sweet finish.

Vape Kits are a fantastic option for everyone that wants the benefits of a pod style or disposable device, with the freedom of a box mod style vape. Vape Kits include a refillable, replaceable pod of which you can add your favourite juices. Vape Kits can use both freebase and salt nicotine eJuices while also providing a wide variety of coils to experience a wide variety of hits and flavour. We personally recommend the Xros line of vapes by Vaporesso. The Xros features a smooth automatic inhale with a wide variety of coils to choose from for both Salt Nicotine and Freebase Nicotine. The Xros 3 features an airflow valve to adjust the pull to your liking, while also featuring a button to fire your device. The Xros 3 Mini removes the button from the Xros 3 while also removing the airflow valve, but is the perfect size to fit any pocket! The Xros line has been using the same style of pods since their initial launch, so there is no need to worry about no longer being able to get pods after a few years time! The Xros is wonderful with Salt Nicotine in their 1.2ohm pods, and fantastic with Freebase in their 0.6ohm pods. We recommend experimenting with the ohms of your pods to find your favourite.
